Kate Jirelle cast in 'Things I Know To Be True'

Kate Jirelle has been cast in the lead role of Rosie Price in Castle Hill Player's upcoming production of Things I Know To Be True.

Written by acclaimed playwright, Andrew Bovell, Things I Know To Be True is an honest, and at times heart-wrenching, depiction of what it is to be a family in modern Australia.

Families are funny. Things don't always turn out the way you think they will. Children don't always live up to expectations or do things the way their parents did. That's what the Prices find out in this family drama set in Hallet Cove, South Australia.

When asked about the play, Kate had this to say: "Things I Know To Be True is such a heartfelt and poignant look at family life in suburban Australia, and the struggle that many of us face as we reach adulthood and learn to grow up and admit that things can't always stay the same".

When the season opens in March of next year, Kate will be joined onstage by a cast of seasoned actors. Annette Van Roden plays the no-nonsense matriarch of the Price family, Fran Price, with Stephen Snars playing opposite as the calm and steadfast Bob. Along with Kate Jirelle as Rosie, their adult children will be portrayed by Celeste Healey as Pip, Adam Garden as Mark, and Ben Freeman as Ben.

Things I Know To Be True will be playing at the Pavilion Theatre from 27th March to 18th April.
